Random highlights in the ESV Study bible

Im new to Logos and this is my first post, hoping someone can help me.

the only resource that i see with the problem is the esv study bible. on the verses (not all just some) it has random verses highlighted. I can't figure out why or if there is a pattern to. see screenshot for an example. thanks!

Hello Tony, and welcome!

This is caused by Sympathetic Highlighting (now called Links to open panels), which is a Visual Filter

It highlights verses that you can see in the Bible that's on screen. It's often quite useful - but if it gets annoying you can turn it off from the Visual Filters menu (the triangle of three dots towards the top of your screenshot).
