Search: God with people

Can someone suggest how I would go about searching for God being with someone in the OT?
I'm trying to understand what the narrator meant in Gen 39 when he says "The Lord was with Joseph/him" (39:2, 3, 21, 23). There's a similar promise that God will be with Isaac (26:3, 24, 28) and Jacob (28:15,20; 31:3).
Is there a way to search for the person of God (I, the Lord, ...) with another entity? TIA

See if this is what you need-
In Gen 39:2, right-click on 'with' (A), and in th popup, choose the Lemma (B), then click on Bible Word Study (C).
Now, scroll down to the Clause Participants section and expand it. You'll see an entry for 'God' in the section called 'In Relation To'. Expand that section and that may be exactly what you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply, Doc B.
A BIble Word Study on the Hebrew lemma for "with" is an interesting way to approach the question. Expanding "God" under the Clause Participants heading gave me thee verses (1 Sa 6:15; Isa 63:11; Je 16:5) which didn't really cover the Hebrew nuances I was seeking to understand.

If you click on "Grammatical roles" (as opposed to "Semantic roles") at the top-right of that panel you will see more instances (122) associated with God but it still doesn't give you what you are looking for.
One of the examples you give (Gen 39:2) has the with linked to Joseph so I don't think this is going to help here
But I haven't figured out a way to do what you are looking for yet.

How about this clause search: subject:God verb-lemma:היה . It returns almost all of the verses in your post.

Thanks, Mark. That's brilliant.
I'm saving the output as a passage list, so I can work through it progressively and pick up the nuances.
Appreciated, friend.

Thanks again, Mark.
I'm nowhere near through that list, but it's already shaping how I think about the divine monarch's presence with the people who represent him. Although they lost access to the palace garden, the heavenly ruler kept reaffirming he would be with the Abrahamic family (Isaac, Jacob, Joseph), and then with Moses and so on through the OT, including the prophets who spoke in his name. Then Matthew opens with the Immanuel promise (explicitly, God with us), and closes when he has received all authority in heaven and on earth with the promise to be with us until the ultimate consummation.
God with us--the goal of history.
