Two Reading Plans
I am pretty sure I only have one reading plan in L4, but two show up on my iPhone. I created one originally, formatted it to include the M'Cheyne plan, and deleted the other. But for some reason the origianl and formatted one show up on my iPhone. How do I get rid of my first?

The mysterious Reading Plan on the iPhone appears to be fixed w/ the iPhone server maintenance over the last couple of days ... nice!

Hi Dave -
The iPod/iPhone reading plans have been GREAT - except that even after following the steps above on multiple different days - I cannot get rid of 2 excess plans on my iPod.
I have a plan called "Read ESV Jan 5, 2012" that have permanent extra plans (2) and (3) remaining on my iPod. There have been some days where after trying to get all the plans up to date and synced, I have gotten up to plan (9) on "Read ESV Jan 5, 2012" - truly from outer space! - on my iPod. Following the steps in the thread allows me to get rid of all the extra plans when my iPod resyncs, EXCEPT for plans (2) and (3).
One thing I have noted - when I go to Logos 4 on my laptop to delete the excess plans - (2) never shows up. Most times the excess plans are just numbered (3) and (4) - and higher. It's as if the (2) and (3) on the iPod generate new plans which sync across to the desktop/laptop - but don't somehow actually exist themselves for syncing to the desktop, only being brought down from the cloud on the iPod side.
Sorry if this is all confusing - it is for me! If you can somehow delete the "Read ESV Jan 5, 2012 (2)" and "(3)" from my account on the iPod/iTouch side - that would be great!
I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the Logos app from my iPod and iTunes without success in eliminating the problem.
Thank you!!
Tom

I should also note that none of my other reading plans have generated excess plans.

Tom, if you touch through on a reading in one of the duplicate reading plans so that the reading is marked read, it will resync and show up in Logos 4. You can then delete it from there.

OK - here's what I had on the iPod - these are all excess duplicate plans of a now deleted original plan:
I had a couple of days readings to catch up on in each of these plans, since I had left them alone for a couple of days, because I was tired of them generating new plans. Each of these 4 plans on the iPod had their readings touched through page by page to cause the checkmark (which oddly shows "2/1/2010" rather than "Today" on all my reading plans, not just these 4) to be enabled for all the days up till now, and I waited 5 minutes.
Here's what I saw when I started up Logos 4 on the laptop and let it sync.
all the way down to
Read ESV Jan 5, 2012 (4)
Read ESV Jan 5, 2012 (3)
FOURTEEN new generations of the reading plan!!!! Note that there is NO plan (2) as on the iPod - and the duplicate plan (3) does not exist in the laptop Logos 4 plans.
I deleted the 14 "Read ESV Jan 5, 2012" plans on the laptop and waited 5 minutes.
Start up the iPod again and see:
The same 4 I started with, and which are not getting deleted, plus a new one! I looked at all the plans - they are all up to date with the exception of plan 12, which is a day behind. Touch through the reading, bring it up to date, get the check mark, and wait 5 minutes.
The laptop installation is synced, and I see:
Read ESV Jan 5, 2012 (13) - not 12, but 13! This is the only one showing up on the laptop Logos 4.
Deleted version (13). Waited 5 minutes and fired up the iPod again:
Now I see:
Everything is up to date in terms of reading - but now I've got ANOTHER plan on my iPod only. Is there any way at all to get these 5 plans deleted from the iPod side of the syncing???? I don't want to see the date Jan 5, 2012 anymore in a reading plan! Thank you.
Frustrated,
Tom

That is what I began the morning with on the iPod. I brought each of the 5 reading plans up to date by touching through today's reading until "Stop reading" to get the checkmark next to 2/2/2010. I then left for class.
When I fired up my Logos 4 on my laptop - here are the plans that greeted me:
No duplication of numbers (like the iPods two version 3's) but it also does not appear that any of the plans is syncing properly with Logos, thereby enabling them to be deleted.
It looks like in going from iPod to laptop
(2) became (3)
(3) - the first - became (4)
(3) - the second - became (5)
(4) became (6)
and (12) became (13)
The newly generated (3)-(6) and (13) plans have once again been deleted in Logos 4 laptop installation. My iPod doesn't hook into the WiFi here at the sem, so I'll be waiting till I get home to sync it - but I'm expecting to see (2), (3), (3), (4) and (12) staring me in the face again when I do.
I really would like to know if some kind of Logos server-side intervention can clear these out.
All my other plans continue to work fine and I am very thankful for the hard work that Logos has put into the iPhone/iPod app.
One thing that may or may not be helpful to note - the original "Read ESV Jan 5, 2012" plan was a chronological plan - some days' readings would jump around from Genesis to 1 Chronicles and back again, etc. - from my point of view the app worked very nicely with the start/stop section jumping - but maybe it caused problems on the sync end????
Thanks,
Tom
