Logos 4.0a SR3 unable to install

I get the message that a new update is ready to be installed. When I say yes to the installation it unpacks and starts to install and I get the message that the "product.cab" is corrupt. How can I delete the installation files that are on my disk and start the installation over?

Go to \Logos4\Data\{random}\UpdateManager\Installers and delete all sub-folders and files. As the standard location is a hidden folder you will need to enable that in Explorer's "Folder Options".
... the standard installation path is:-
XP -> C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4
Vista/Win7 -> C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Logos4

That deletes the faulty files. How do I get the update now?

Found the answer in another post http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe. I now have SR3 and everything seems to be working properly.

Melvin, you can type the folllowing words into the Command Window. But do not include the quote marks: "AutoUpdate now" Then hit "Enter" key etc
If that gets no response, close Logos 4 and re-start it.
Hopefully one of those two choices will re-trigger the download.
Sometimes a download or update will only arrive at a certain time of day. The Logos home base computer must send out 1,000's of these messages and has to "space" them out so that it will not crash.
(If I have interpreted this proces incorrectly, would some one else please join in?)

I believe 'Update Now' is the command. We included an 'Update Resources' for some flexibility too but I think update now checks resources too.

used the "update now" command and it came back with a reply that there were not updates. The manual setup did update Logos to SR3. My application is now running properly.

Sometimes if a download is or was in progress it will return that no updates are available after the current one. Something may have happened earlier and caused that to stick, perhaps the old update file was still around. Glad you are back up to speed.
