Suggestion: Allow the Join/Split functionality in Sentence Diagrams to work for shapes

I found the Join/Split functionality this evening. That's very helpful. However, it seems to only be available for words / text.

In this thread, I mentioned some missing shapes. If Join/Split were extended to shapes, it would help deal with missing shapes from most/all of the various diagramming approaches out there.
