Faithlife Plugin into a Wordpress.org Sidebar Widget
Anyone have any idea on how to take the code generated in the Faithlife/plugin/Join My Group page and past it into an html sidebar widget on a site that is powered by a WordPress.org blogging engine (theme Twenty Fourteen)?

You can't to my knowledge due to restrictions from Wordpress on JavaScripts. I could be wrong though.

I'll check. Thanks

If you're on a self-hosted WordPress install, that should work without any issues.

Nope! But I haven't given up. I'm not a techie so I will need to carve out a little extra time to do so; and here goes...[:P]

It worked this time. Not sure why it did not the first time I tried but it matters not. But, it is a little wide for the sidebar. The right side boarder gets trimmed on the large button. It is fine for the medium button but I would rather use the large. Can anyone shrink the button by maybe 5 pixels?
Right now Biblia.com is likely doing maintenance thus my Verse of the Day is not working so you will see the bad gateway message below the Faithlife button.

You are right about the Verse of the Day. There was a Major Server Meltdown at Faithlife over the weekend and they are working around the clock (literally) to get it resolved. I'm not sure about resizing the button. Did you use the plugin I found?

I tried the plugin on my first attempt but to no avail. I was rushed that day so I likely missed something. Not wanting to leave it running when I thought it was not working I turned it off. When I had more time to do it right the code just worked before I turned the plugin back on.
