Help: My L6 Perpetually Wants sMe to Update But Fails

Perhaps this is related to the recent server failure? But when I open L6 it asks me to click to install an update. Every time I click the installation leaves me a message:

"An error occurred while extracting the archive. Please try again later." 

I am able to run the program but it would be nice to get out of the "update" mode. BTW, I am running a Macbook Pro with the latest Yosemite.

Any ideas?
