I want to find scripture passages that relate to our relationship with Christ or God as a friend or our personal relationship with him. Suggestions on the search syntax?

Hi Scott, you probaby wasn't expecting this approach, but what I did, as a start, was to search "friend NEAR god" in my topicals collection, to see if a resource has already done the work for me. Indeed, the Dictionary of Bible Themes (logosres:dicbblthemes;hw=friendship,_with_God ) lays out the concept quite nicely:
If you still want to tackle an actual Bible search, at least now you can use the above to know some of what you want to see in the result.
