updates
Logos 4.4.5 doesn't want to load, saying there is a signature conflict. I REALLY enjoy logos 6 on my pc and was hoping this update would better help with pairing the two together.
What should I do?

Version 8.5.1 is actually the Firmware version, not the Android version.
The original Kindle Fire devices run Android 2.3.4 which is no longer supported - we announced this back in July: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/86001.aspx
There is nothing new in Logos 4.4.5 that will help it work better with Logos 6 on the Desktop; the mobile apps don't contain any of the new Logos 6 desktop features.

Why the new Android update require those new permissions?? Reasons??

I assume you're referring to the new account-related permissions? They're there to enable the new single sign on feature. If you install multiple Faithlife apps, after you sign in to the first one, you'll be offered the option to sign into the second one with the same account automatically without having to enter your username and password again. This is accomplished by storing your Faithlife account at the Android operating system level, which requires the additional permissions.
