Logos often fails to start. Mac version 6.0a

Frequently now since 6.0a, Logos fails to start. It bounces for awhile and then just stops. I never see even a small window saying its working. Even if I abort it, it will not come up the next time. The only thing that fixes it is to re-boot my computer. Then it comes up and acts like nothing has happened. This may have something to do with it aborting some component of the operating system, but I see no evidence of it.
Has anyone else seen behavior like this? Before Yosemite and Logos 6, I could go months without rebooting my computer. I have an iMac with plenty of memory and disk.

I know certain people have had issues with some files not having the right permissions. I would suggest you going into the utility folder int he applications folder and running disk utility and repair permissions (verifying the disk never hurts either). Also 6.0a- SR 1 was released today so if you go to your orders page and install the latest version manually there could be some help there. https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_6.0a_SR-1 I see nothing in the release notes suggesting it could help your problem but it usually can not hurt to install the latest stable version.

I haven't seen anything like this, Michael. In addition to what Dan said about repairing permissions, I would add a couple things:
First, post your logs when Logos does this: https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/mac/report-problem
Second, another "magic bullet" fix for the some Mac misbehaviors is booting into Safe Mode and then rebooting back into regular mode. The process clears caches and what not, so it might help. See here for how: http://computers.tutsplus.com/tutorials/5-more-quick-fixes-to-common-mac-problems--mac-45525
Hope this helps—I'm sure it's annoying!
