The sales department have annual targets that are supposed to be met by the end of the year. As a result, we sometimes get end of year fire sales (remember this?). Judging by the unsolicited deal I've just been offered, which was too good to turn down, it looks as though there might be some way to go before those targets are met.
So, if you've had your eye on something you can't afford, it might be a good time to contact a sales rep
