Dang Indexer is Crashing Every Time

On my laptop, the Indexer is now crashing every update. Since Logos seems to need to update almost daily, this is unacceptable.

The fix provided here- https://community.logos.com/forums/t/97345.aspx

does not seem to be working this time (it did a few days ago).

Similar to before delete the supplemental* files in the C:\Users\borenjb\AppData\Local\Logos5\Data\eymcyonl.yow\LibraryIndex folder i.e. all files whose name starts with 'supplemental'.

Then delete the folder C:\Users\borenjb\AppData\Local\Logos5\Data\eymcyonl.yow\UpdateManager

and restart Logos.

Similar to before

As I mentioned in the first post, Dave, I did all those things first. No go. (Since this worked last time, I made sure I saved a copy of the process, and followed it exactly.)

I'll try it again tonight when I get home.

Like David says, this is more than a local problem, methinks. And it is VERY frustrating when a bit of software that cost well over five thousand dollars won't run.

You'll have to bite the bullet and delete the folder C:\Users\borenjb\AppData\Local\Logos5\Data\eymcyonl.yow\LibraryIndex\

which will force a (lengthy) re-index.

Ouch. Looks like it will finish around 4am. But at least it is running. I'm going to bed.

What is causing this problem? If this doesn't stop real soon, I'm going to want my money back.

It is connected with 'updates' for LLS:TTAPR05 & LLS:TTAPR08 but the first log already had issues with a supplemental index

The second & third log couldn't find an 'expected' supplemental index so there was a corrupted index file; hence finally having to re-index. Also, updates for LLS:TTAPR05 & LLS:TTAPR08 were being downloaded in the third log (type the Id into the Command box to find their title).

So it seems to come from attempts to download these files & a corrupted index.

Well, deleting the LibraryIndex folder worked...it took all night to index, but it was done when I got up.
