Reading plans based on the TOC of a book

A few weeks ago I created a Reading plan based on the TOC in the book Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.

Now I am trying to do the same thing with "Generate a Reading Plan" in non-Bible books and can't, not even with Jesus Calling.

Did I forget how (please enlighten me) or is there a problem?

When I did successfully make the first Reading Plan for Jesus Calling, every entry in the TOC ended up as reading session of its own (Cover page, Title page, Copyright page, etc.). Some times, like in the book Jesus Calling, there may be section titles that don't need to be a session of the Reading Plan. It would be nice if after creating a Reading Plan from the TOC that the user could edit the plan to remove the automatic entries that are not needed (like remove "January" but keep "January 1" (or combine them into one session).
When creating a Reading Plan based on the structure of the source (like by Chapter, by Periscope, by TOC) there should be a "finishing" option of "when done" (or something like that) so that the user doesn't have to fiddle with the schedule to get it to have one reading per day (like the Custom Reading Plan does). For these cases it should automatically calculate the end date based on the number of readings and the reading frequency selected (not constrained by a time schedule).

We appear to have 7 different books by Sarah Young with "Jesus Calling" in the title. Could you go to the information panel for the resource and copy the Support Info at the bottom of the panel and paste it here.

I'm able to generate reading plans from any of the books I try. Can you paste a screenshot of the reading plan configuration before you click the Start button?

After creating the generated reading plan, you can create a custom reading plan and import the first plan (using the Add button at the top of the panel). Then you can delete any of the sessions you want to remove using the x button that shows up at the right edge of the reading when you move your mouse over it.

This process is cumbersome and doesn't result in a contiguous reading plan without a lot of work - deleting a reading section in the second phase also removes the day of reading. Any reading sections that are doubled-up can't be separated into separate days to even them out to one reading section per day. I'll try to document this when I have time in a few days.

Tim, I'm a little confused. In your initial post you said you were unable to generate a reading plan in the book, but it appears from your video that you are able to create the plan successfully. Has that part of your initial post been resolved, or is there some other problem I'm missing?

You are correct. I'm sorry. I didn't think this all the way through before I answered. I don't think any editing of a custom reading plan would let you create a contiguous plan with this resource. I'm not aware of any way at this time to set up a reading plan in the way you are wanting.
