Is there anything in this Spurgeon set that is not available elsewhere? Is it just a recompilation of his comments on the Bible brought into one resource? That is the way that the description makes it sound. If that is the case, with Logos, I can search for these comments.

Is the material found in other early church father works (other than that huge $2000 + thing). Or this there something new and/or unique.

It is available elsewhere, but not in this format. It's heavily edited, and the editing gives it its value IMO. The Galatians commentary gives a preview which should show you what is meant:
