Copying all Highlights from a Resource to Notes or Word document

I love to read books on logos and on kindle. But here is something I miss sooo much in logos: showing all quotes (completely written our) from a certain passage.

For example: I am studying Keller's sermons on Exodus. I read through them and highlighted a lot. I'd love to be able to copy all highlighted sentences into a new word document - as a summary with the best quotes.

I can do that on kindle (via the Kindle website). Please Logos.

Is there a way? Otherwise please make a way

Yes, I know! There is "clipping" but that is one extra step + I can't do that on my iPad quickly + it's just for outstanding quotes (showing me all the bibliography under each qutation etc.).

Yes, there is "search for highlights" with *... but it takes sooo long because it searches for every word, that is highlighted.

Are you trying to do this on the Logos desktop software or on the iPad?

If in the iPad, you can see all highlights in a resource from the Tools -> Highlight menu

If on Logos (and in Logos 6) you can set Notes to "Quotes" view which shows highlighted text

Graham, thanks for pointing that out. That is a very nice feature. Unfortunately, and this is the inconsistent nature that is Logos, you cannot export that text. The exporter reverts back to what would be exported from "Full" view. This means that you get the truncated highlight text. Meaning it shows the ellipsis marks rather than the text.

Oooops, Logos just crashed again as I was verifying this behavior. :-) (Full disclosure, I am on beta 3, can't wait to get back to stable. I do not know why I do this to myself.)

In the screenshot below I have a Notes document set to Quotes view showing the highlights which I have highlighted in an associated resource

To Graham: I'm reading and highlighting on the iPad but I don't expect the App to do what I want. I want to gather the highlight-quotes in the Desktop version.

Michael is exactly right, when he writes, that logos is (I'd add oftentimes) inconsistent. There are great ideas, but for my workflow it's just not that helpful. Why are there two kinds of documents - clippings and notes? Why not just add clippings to notes!? I have to use two kinds of documents for one topic!?

Graham's idea (with the screenshots below) is what I do right now. But

1.) You have to add the quotes in a certain notes-document to have them in one place. I can't just tell logos: "filter all notes from Keller's Exodus sermons". I'd have to start a "highlight-note-file" for just his sermons.

2.) I can't export it nor print it. Just the "xxx...........xxxx" Version.

I just finished Kevin DeYoungs book "Hole in our Holiness", went online on kindle.com and exported all my highlights to word. Now I got a 20 page summary, that I can always go back to. That's the idea.
