HP Stream 13 $199 Laptop Not Logos Friendly

Just thought I'd share in case anyone's interested in this new HP Stream 13 and 11 laptops. It is not a Logos friendly machine due to storage space.

The computer for $199 right now at Microsoft Store Online sells it for $30 off the regular price and it comes with only 2GB of RAM (not user upgradable from what I'm reading) and only 32GB of SSD space. With the OS and not much else installed (MS Office) it only gives you 9GB of free space. I own a 10GB+ library.

I tried installing on a 32GB micro-SD card and finally after two days of installing, downloading and indexing, I quite the indexing process at 79% and uninstalled Logos. I won't be using the full program on this, just the terrible Win 8 book reader.

So, if your're interested, don't bother if running Logos 6 full edition is important and you own a large library.

It is not much different from any Windows 8 tablet (with 10" screen) in this regard and some users remove the restore partition to get more space. But they usually install Logos on a 32/64 GB microSD card using the quick Method 2 to avoid painfully long indexing. Not sure how the Celeron compares to the Atom processor on tablets but it seems the 13" display is the only other reason the HP Stream is regarded as a Laptop.

2 GB RAM is OK for Windows 32-bit.

i just tried method 2 and it sti;; is indexing my library so either thee wiki needs updating or something is wrong. it's actually the indexing on an sd card that's taking so long, even on a fast class 10 card, On my first attempt it took more than 24 hours to get to 76%.
