Footnotes aren't appearing in Pages

I've recently decided to make the jump from Word to Pages in my sermon manuscripts. So far so good, save one major problem (for me, anyways).

In Logos 6, when using Word, I used to be able to copy any text and when I pasted it into my document, the footnote citation was generated automatically. This doesn't happen in Pages.

Anyone know how to fix?
