A question concerning the Author Bio on the new Tablet Bundle

Is this wrong concerning the date or am I reading it wrong?

Thomas à Kempis (c. 1380–1471) was born in Kempen, Germany. In 1392, Thomas travelled with his brother to the Netherlands to attend school, and there he was introduced to the Brethren of the Common Life, followers of Gerard Groote's Modern Devotion movement. After finishing school, both he and his brother would devote their entire lives to the movement, joining the Mount St. Agnes monastery. Thomas' works evinced wide learning and deep biblical knowledge, and his work The Imitation of Christ is considered a classic in Christian literature.

Look at the dates.

Do you know of any alternative dates? They seem plausible to me and agree to the dates in my printed version of "The imitation of Christ" (which also state that the earliest manuscript of this book dates from 1441). After he had attended school, Thomas lived for over seventy years in a monastery

I missed the period (.) between Germany and In, thus I was reading it as, his lifespan was (1380-1471) and he was born in Kempen Germany in 1392. Was the 1380 a prophecy? Lol
