Confused about Logos 6 and Verbum

I upgraded to Logos 6 and having some catholic resources I can type in SET VERBUM YES on the command bar and , the program changes to Verbum mode (what ever that means??).

So I purchased Verbum Capstone for Christmas and am installing it. It seems to be downloading the resources I own again to the verbum directory effectively giving double storage.

What am I missing?

Verbum is a different beast and requires its own files and folders so it will download a duplicate library.

There is no reason for most users to have both Logos and Verbum applications. You could have just downloaded the Capstone resources. However, I run both - one as my beta platform, the other as my stable platform. This has the added advantage of my being able to easily test either app to answer questions in the forums.

Like MJ already said, most users won't need two installations, and it seems you don't want it either. The point is: you don't need to install Verbum if you already have Logos installed, Logos will download all new resources etc. just fine.

If you want, you can abort/uninstall&delete the Verbum installation.

Speaking of being confused about Verbum:

This weekend I updated the software on an older laptop which has Verbum 5 installed on it. I decided to change the interface language from English to Dutch and after the update I got a message on my homepage that a new version of "Werkwoord" had been installed. It took me a few seconds before I made the connection:

Werkwoord (dutch) = Verb (english) = wrong translation of "Verbum" (at least in this context).

The Verbum mode in Logos is a legacy and may not always be there. Indeed new Verbum features will likely be implement in the Verbum program only. So if the Verbum interface is more desired by you I would suggest deleting Logos and not Verbum.
