First I need to state that this is not Logos 6's fault, but here's a warning.
You might well know of the world wide issue with early 2011 macbooks where a design fault has caused them to fry their video cards. So far over 30,000 have signed a petition asking apple to replace or sort it out. The fault often happens when the chip is undergoing a lot of intensive tasks, like video editing or indeed whilst a newly bought copy of logos 6 is indexing! The chips fault is too do with the way the video element is soldiered to the board.
That is certainly what has happened to my Mac. Thankfully in the UK I am covered by the sales of goods act and they are replacing the logic board for free for a second time (!). Anyway all I am suggesting if you have this model to save you time and hassle it might be worth taking the indexing in stages whilst it sits on a surface to cool down.
Hope this is helpful.
