Difference between L4 free download and upgrading?

I installed the free L4 engine and love the new interface. It works great.
I am aware that if I upgrade from my L3 package to the same in L4 I will get some extra books. This looks like a sweet deal for many of the base packages! I have the Original Languages package and the additional books included in the upgrade are not interesting to me. So if that was the only reason to upgrade then it not be worth it for me personally.
My question is: are there other things BESIDES new books that come with the upgrade to L4? And if so, what are they? (a link to a list would be nice)
thanks

Biblical places
Biblical people
Biblical things.
Those are three that come to mind.

The best route for you would seem to be what Logos calls the minimal crossgrade. You can find out about it here:
http://www.logos.com/minimalcrossgrade
For $60 you'd get the resources that work in L4 that you miss through the free upgrade.

Actually, the price of the upgrade also around $60 for my Languages package, so if I were to do either I would go with the upgrade over the crossgrade. For the same price I might as well.
What I am wondering is what those resources are exactly?

Thanks. Where might I find more info on what those are?

There isn't a concise description other than what you have seen on the Upgrade and crossgrade web pages.
Biblical People, Places and Things provides a graphical presentation of those subjects in Passage Guide. Some are interesting/relevant to the passage and some are indifferent (my opinion).
The reverse interlinears provide a means of working effectively between the English and the original languages on which the translation is based. The ESV reverse interlinear of L3 (Libronix) was the basis but the interlinear presentation doesn't please everybody and Logos are moving back to that (full-view) style fairly soon.

HTH. Please ask about specific resources.

Sharkie: when I click on Biblical People, and "Mary" is the "person", a window pops up. At the top of the window is a ribbon. (like in Office 2007) with sections of information. It lists scriptures to Mary, relatives of Mary, Dictionaries with Mary articles, and "other Marys": all hyperlinked to the text, article, etc.
On the bottom of the main part of the window is another kind of ribbon with thumbnails leading to genealogical trees, and all the pictures/illustrations related to Mary in your entire library. Clicking on one of those maximizes that graphic in the main window.
Or, rather than suffering through my descriptions, just go to this page and watch the videos on them for free!
peace.

These resources utilize the new features of Logos 4. Without them you'd feel Logos 4 was a bit crippled. They also come with your Languages upgrade so the decision about which to do rests in what other resources you'd gain by upgrading your base collection and the cost involved.
