Logos 6 Crashing. Help!

My Logos 6 was working great until last night. Upon starting the program I received the message that "An upgrade is required. Some of your resources and documents are not compatible with this version. To continue using Logos Bible Software, upgrade version 6.0b Beta 3 or later." After several failed attempts, I tried to reinstall the program. How do I return to a stable install? Thanks in advance.

Hi Pastor James - sorry to hear you are having problems.

Some questions:

What version of the software do you now have installed?
What did you have installed before this happened and did you download any resources recently?
Did you try to upgrade to beta 3 and - if so - what happened?
Can you enable diagnostic logging and upload logs as a reply to this thread after an attempt to start Logos? (Details showing how to do this are at https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging )

Thanks for the response.

I am running Logos 6 Gold.
Did not install any resources prior to the software crash.
The attempt to upgrade failed after initializing.
Here is a copy of the log file

So the log file states that you previously had 6.0b beta 3 running on this computer.

If that is so you can't "downgrade" to an earlier (stable) version.

Did you have beta 3 installed and did you try and install 6.0a SR5 "on top"?

Just trying to understand the sequence of events which has produced this.

I expect that there will be two options at the end of this:

Either totally remove Logos from your computer and reinstall the stable version
Install the beta version - which has its own risks

I am running Logos 6 Gold.

For clarification: "Logos 6 Gold" isn't a "version" of the software... it is the "base package" you own. That information is generally only needed when trying to determine if a user is trying to use a feature they haven't paid for. Most of the time what we need is the version of the software engine (i.e. "Logos 6.0a, SR-5".
