Sharing Documents (Notes)

I am attempting to share my Notes with another Logos user. It turns out he is using Logos 4 (L4); whereas, I have Logos 6 (L6).

We have gotten through the process of sharing the documents through Faithlife (I invited him to be a member of my group; he has accepted; and he has made a copy of the document). However, he can't find the Documents link within L4 (at the top of L6 I have the Home, Library, Search icons, then the Documents link). Also, when he opens his same version of the Bible (in this case, NKJV), none of my post-it icons (green star) or formatting (bold letters) are being seen.

What is the next step in him getting the copied document to work on his end?

Help!?

In Logos 4, Notes were stored under the file menu - suggest your friend looks there.

That could suggest he hasn't enabled the visual filter corresponding to your notes file - ask him to click on the interlocking circles icon and see if the notes file (document) appears there. Or possibly the notes file hasn't actually been copied to his system. The first thing is to check whether it is visible in the Files menu

How are you doing the formatting? Is this using highlighting (in which case highlights should transfer) or something else (such as visual filters)?

Answer:
When I add a note, I highlight the word within the NKJV I am adding the note to by right-cliking the word and adding the new information to the Note Document I have already created; within the Note Document, I add the desired icon (the green star), and also format the text (bold). It is these formats that are not populating in his version. However, let me send him the other information you provided to see if that solves the problem. I will send a follow-up message afterwards.

Double check with him about why he is using L4. Is it because he is using old hardware incompatible with L5/L6, or does he not know about the free engine upgrades (L5 is available now, L6 in February).

That sounds as though it should work

However, let me send him the other information you provided to see if that solves the problem
