erasing books

can I erase books I do not need?

Jose,
The way to do this in Logos 4 is to hide the books. To do this you have to open the Program Settings panel. At the bottom there is a Hidden Resources area. Click on that and then drag resources you don't want to access to that area one at a time from your library. This is required because if you delete a resource any other way, Logos 4 will see it missing and download another copy. Hiding a book removes it fro your resources folder.
You can take books out of hiding later, but Logos will have to re-download the book before you can use it again.

Morris Proctor, a Logos-certified instructor has a set for the new Logos 4. You can see them here: http://www.mpseminars.com/
There are some instructional videos on the Logos web site that might help you, too. http://www.logos.com/videos

Mark,
Thanks so much for this valuble tip Mark. I am not a pastor, so many of the resources that came with my Scholar's edition of L4 are of limited or no interest to me. I have located well over 100 books that deal with issues that don't concern me and it would be nice if they didn't take up space on my computer, but still be available to a future user of my software. Your solution is precisely what I hoped I would be able to do!

That is a lot of tedium hiding them one at a time. We've asked Logos to let us multi-select resources and drag them all at one time. So far the request has not been implemented.
