Upgrade cost

So I think I understand the differences between core (update), feature upgrade (crossgrade) and full upgrade (more books etc). But in looking at the recommended feature upgrade cost for me it would be actually a little cheaper to purchase logos 6 starter. If I did that I would not lose my books from my previous logos 5 and purchased books correct? Also, the starter should contain the same core engine, features and datasets I presume.

I want to say I love my logos software but I am a simple lay person who started off with the leader's library of old. the feature crossgrade is almost $300. If I was in ministry and could charge it against a budget or expense the cost that would be okay, but alas that is not the case.

UPDATE: Actually I sort of answered this myself, the logos 6 starter contains much less than the feature upgrade. Leaving post in case others thought the same.

Stephen, you've already 'departed', but did you understand the core crossgrade (which judging from your price above would be cheaper). It includes the engine, plus ALL of the datasets. I ended up getting the feature crossgrade only because of a specific resource I wanted; else I'd of got the core. And I have a good size library, so no need to save money but no need to waste it either.

You will not lose the resources you already own whatever you decide to do. Each time you but a new package you py only for the resources you do not already own and you end up with a total of what you already owned and what is new.

Feature Crossgrade is the one with all the datasets, not the Core Crossgrade. The image below shows datasets that are in the Feature (and Extended) crossgrade but are not in the Core crossgrade:

I'm disappointed that Speaker Labels (Reported Speech) and Biblical Referents are not in Core because they came from Logos 5. I would have traded them for some of the esoteric new datasets that are in Core.

Yasmin ... you're correct. I'm not sure where my brain was (I think back on Logos5).
