Faithlife use clearly not intuitive .... resulting in ...
For the NT 221 course there are irrelevance reading plans which to me imply a bad interface so that the user doesn't realize what they are doing OR a bug in the software.
I was also surprised that there appear to be no seed entries or guidelines to encourage the use of community notes or discussion by the students. I was checking because I found the logic of one required reading an insult to logic although I agreed pretty much with its position. I wondered whether others had noticed or if it was appropriate to note in a community note. Seems to me that except for matters of procedure the Faithlife site is not being utilized to any advantage at least in NT221 - again design and implementation need to be looked at if Faithlife was intended to be an integral part of Mobile Ed.

Wow sorry, I could not understand what you were trying to say at all. If no one replies and it's not just me, can you re-read what you wrote and try again? I have enjoyed the Mobile Ed courses so far so I may have an opinion or thought but it seems you may have written this extremely quickly and rushed out the door?

Thanks, MJ., I agree completely. The Faithlife Products Team is cleaning up some "technical debt"; we're focused on a responsive website that works well on desktop and mobile browsers. You can see the progress at Beta.Faithlife.com (looks noticeably different on an iPhone or Android screen). Once the bones are healthy, we'll start improving functionality and integration with other applications (Logos, Verbum, Proclaim, etc.).
Keep the feedback coming. We're encouraging Faithlife as a communication channel wherever possible (dog fooding) and I'd greatly appreciate your continued feedback through either of the following groups.

Don, the Mobile Ed courses are fantastic. I think MJ. is expressing dissatisfaction with how Faithlife Groups (the community platform) integrates with the viewing experience.

MJ you get this in every Mobile Ed course Faith life group. Someone sets up a reading plan and thinks it's a good idea to share it to the group. Trouble is the plan once shared is set to start of the fixed date and so anyone coming along and starting the course 1 month, 6 months later etc can not adjust the start date of the reading plan. It's a case of user misunderstanding because Logos has failed to provide proper documentation of how faithlife works and how to use these groups to get the most out of these courses. In reality these groups are not much more than repositories to pick up the shared notes file for the couse.

I think it's most likely people who don't understand what they are doing or maybe something in the mobile apps that makes it easy to share a plan to the wrong group, or.....
Email notifications from the last couple weeks follow. Some of these groups now have multiple copies of the same reading plans. Most of these groups should not have reading plans or at least not the ones shared.

Sorry - my main points were:
- The design encourages misuse of the groups example: reading plans that do not belong to the group
- The site is not succeeding in generating the shared notes and discussion it is intended for ... perhaps it needs to be seeded with good examples to get it off the ground. I personally did nothing because there were no model entries.

Ah thanks - very good points! I would love to collaborate more on Faithlife, this would be a great opportunity to do so.
It would be great if discussion questions on each video lesson were tied to a thread with the author on a Faithlife group!

I did enter a innocuous community note ... now to see it if generates any activity
