Does Logos Have A Map On Where The 12 Tribes Of Israel were?

If I were wanting to look up for research a map on where the locations of the 12 tribes of Israel were does Logos have a map for that?

I got my folks for Christmas each a NASB which had maps on the back end and one of them was a map of the 12 tribes of Israel and I thought that was nice so I wondered if Logos had something similar.

Yes. I am not sure exactly what maps/atlases would be included in this NASB offering, but you can type in 'maps' or 'atlas' after clicking the library icon and it should show resources to open that would have the 12 tribes maps. There are (have been) a number of LOGOS supplied map resources as part of the base offerings - I have so many that I am uncertain which are now the standard offering. There also are a number of excellent atlas/map book offerings that are buyable - some come with the various packages. Even the more minor offerings go significantly beyond what you would find in the back of a Bible.

I found quite a few by doing a media search for "12 tribes" and "twelve tribes." You can also use the Factbook feature for "Tribes of Israel."

I don't know what resources you have but here are two of my favorites.

Note that LOGOS resources such as MacArthur Study Bible, ESV study Bible, etc. include the maps that are part of the physical book as well.

What you get for results depends on what resources you have available in your library. You could try a media search for <Topic Territories of the Tribes> or <Topic Allotment of the Land> or <Topic Tribes of Israel> or <Topic The Twelve Tribes> or simple searches such as Tribal Distribution or, as Ryan mentions, 12 Tribes or Twelve Tribes.

I've always appreciated that map you speak of and haven't yet found one to beat it in Logos.

I had stored a link to one in Logos 5's Biblical places call "Tribal Distribution", but that link no longer works in Logos 6. [:(]

Thanks. That's a good one. My old link in Favorites now opens Factbook to the "Territory of Zebulun". It used to go to the map. I see that very map on the Zebulun page now (the maps section didn't show up the first time Factbook opened).

For anyone following this thread, the PB, that Logos put together for L4/L5 a while back on the available Logos maps, still works great in Logos6. In my version, I added approximate dates for the sort.
