Disable browser inside of Logos?
It is possible to open a normal browser window within Logos Android by doing the following:
Home, News, Logos page, Apps-Android, then click on the search tab to open Google search or anything else on the web.
I share my tablet with Logos on it with my family, and for this reason I have all browsers and other ways to access the internet locked down. My son loves using Logos, but I cannot have open access to the internet available to him, to protect him from temptation.
Is there any way to remove this from Logos?
Or, does anyone know if it it possible to use Titanium to freeze some module of the Logos app that would prevent open access to the web via the Logos app?

Hello Kevin,
I am not sure what you refer to. I went to the home page and I have several sections of which "News" is one. News is a feed, usually ads. Ads can lead to the Internet if I follow them but it opens my browser outside of Logos (though it is invoked from within).
But you mention "Logos page" and then "Apps-Android". Where do you see that? It will be easier to suggest solutions when it is clearer where the problem is found. Also, it could be useful to indicate which version of the Logos App you are using, which browser and which version of Android.

I figured out how to do this, using AFWall+ app, which is a firewall. Must have root to use this. Might be able to use NoRoot Firewall app, without root.
In AFWall+, allow the Bible app through the firewall, but do not allow Chrome or other brower to have access through the firewall. Bible app actually uses Chrome or other browser for internet links, so you just prevent the links from opening.
Use AppLock app to prevent access to firewall app.

Well, I thought that firewall would work, but it doesn't. I don't know of a way to correct this. I tried Avast, which has a powerful firewall, but it won't work with my kernel. I have root, but it needs a special ROM to work, which I do not have.
Here is exactly how to open this unsecured browser in the Bible app:
- Go to Store
- In lower right-hand corner of the page, click on Logos Apps: Android
- Click on Download
- This opens up the Google Play store page, but at the top of that page you can get to Youtube, Google Search, etc. completely unsecured.
The two solutions that I can think of, which would require the developers to change some things:
Send any non-Logos.com link to an external browser, rather than opening up this browser inside the Bible app? This would allow me to easily secure this behavior.
Allow the external browser inside of Logos to be locked with a PIN, if the user so desired? This would fix the problem, too.
