Preparation -- Execution – Joyful and Gratifying Success

Rejoice!  Rejoice!

Peace and Joy in the Lord!

From:  Mel            (almost 17:15 – Eastern Daylight Time)

Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Started my Beta testing late because couldn’t get proper NDA to Phil in time, so waited until Labour Day to begin.

Complete Success – First Time!

My heart goes out to those who have been having difficulty.  Reading all the posts since last Friday has been helpful to me and encouraging and enlightening!  So much to consider, so much to explore!      *smile*

Preparation:

1.      Used IE8 internet tools to get rid of “stuff” on computer

2.      Used Windows Control Panel Performance Clean hard drive (defragged drive also!)

3.      Used Uniblue Speed-Up my computer to get rid of privacy files and other “junk”

4.      Used latest edition of Ad-Aware to check for anything on my hard drive that shouldn’t be there.

5.      Used Uniblue Registry Booster to check out and remove errors.

6.      Restarted computer.

7.      8:00 Labour Day evening – began download of Logos 4 – Beta 1

8.      About 11:00 p.m. – saw that it was still working, went to bed.

9.      This morning it was done, then I used the update.

10.  Came back to computer about two hours later, and everything was complete.

11.  Began to use and explore Logos 4 with no difficulty.  Amazing!   Will be a big learning curve.  Feel very comfortable with the program and will comment as I learn and use it.

My Initial Impressions …..           Logos 4 is incredible!

Will report as I have successes or difficulties.

Yours in Christ,

    Mel

Postscript:  I encourage many of you to join me in prayer for the welfare of our Logos Bible Software for the future.  What I mean is that there are good, solid Christian people who have had this Vision, who have worked hard to bring it and us to where we are.  The Evil One and the forces of evil use high tech for the purposes of evil and to destroy the good purposes of God and His Church.  Certainly the people of God must rely on Him to combat evil – His Spirit, His Power, His Methods.  I believe that God expects us to do what we can where He has planted us!  This is the Church Militant, not yet the Church Triumphant!

What got me thinking of this invitation to join me in prayer is that Logos technicians and staff have been working overtime this past weekend (and maybe at many other times!) and must be quite weary – if not almost exhausted – after the release of this Beta this past Friday.  They have responded to posts all weekend.  I pray for a number of Logos people by name and commend the whole of them to our Gracious Father.

Can you imagine the expenses of a company like Logos?  Their royalty agreements, their contracts, their negotiations with others, their technicians, their staff, their publicity, the physical maintenance of their properties?  200+ employees!  Can you imagine the payroll?

When we are “praying without ceasing,” may the Holy Spirit direct our thoughts and prayers!  *smile*

Yours in Christ,

………   Mel
