Note Tagging?

Hi. I was wondering how tags function on notes. When I've tagged a note and then tried searching for that note via the tag, nothing comes up. For instance suppose I create a note on a selection from something Shedd says in his Dogmatic Theology. I then tag that note with "Witness of the Holy Spirit." When I then do a search for "Witness of the Holy Spirit" my tagged note doesn't appear in the list. But if I write "witness of the Holy Spirit" inside the note, it turns up in the search.

You need to be explicit that you wish to match tags with the syntax:

mytag:"Witness of the Holy Spirit"

I didn't even know that you could tag notes. I've never seen the "Add tag" link in a note body. Now I have to test this and see how it works. Can those tags be added / viewed when working with notes in the mobile app(s)?

The mobile apps don't currently support the new notes features in Logos 6.

You can also use labels instead of tags, but both functions are pretty limited right now when it comes to user documents. Labels in notes are implemented by using the arrow pointing down in the top right side of the annotation window. Contrarily to resource labeling, note labeling does not require you to create a highlighting style. So, it works fairly similarly to tags. You CAN tag or label extensively, but it is harder to take advantage of the feature because of the limitations of user document searches. Namely, you can search and it will tell you in which user document you have how many hits, but clicking on the link will only lead you to the first tagged entry. After that, you are on your own. Apparently, Logos is working on fixing this.
