See this thread for the origin of the problem.
I added a Label via the Highlighting tool on my Laptop 6.0b and it sync'd to the Desktop 6.0b. I then removed it from Desktop by unchecking "This style implies a label" and Saving. The label had one attribute.
The Laptop still shows the label.
