Basic search for all resources but excluding commentaries

I've discovered that the passage guide is very helpful for informing me of all commentaries that reflect on a given passage. However, I also discovered that books that are not considered commentaries eg. dictionaries and which mention the passage I'm looking up do not appear.

Consequently, I'd like to run a basic search for the given passage on Everything except commentaries. Can anybody tell me how to exclude all commentaries from my search? Is it even possible via a basic search, or would I need to learn about syntax searches and do it that way?

I'm assuming that you don't want media, Bibles, etc. I would start with a collection of something like type:(monograph, dictionary, encyclopedia, "Bible notes")

I'd rather not have bibles/media etc. but I don't mind keeping them, I just don't want the commentaries. I'm trying a search in resources with "title:<>commentary" but Logos doesn't like the syntax...

In case anybody Googles for help and finds the forum (which is how I often resolve odd queries), the string I used was:

type:(monograph, dictionary, encyclopedia, "Bible notes", "courseware textbook", encyclopedia, grammar, interactive, journal, lectionary, lexicon, thesaurus, "media collection", "biblical people diagrams", "media collection", timeline)
