Logos 6 crash

I just upgraded to Logos 6 platinum. Every time I try to open a book, or to float panel, the program crashes. I have tried to re install but it tells me that Logos 6 is up to date. I tried to go to the logos logs under documents but the file does not exist. I am running windows 7 with more than 30 gig free space.

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

Can you try enabling full diagnostic logging as per https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/report-problem and uploading logs after a crash?

This is a bug that should be fixed in a future version of Logos. In the meantime, you may be able to work around it by opening Program Settings and changing "Show Auto and Favorite Bookmarks" (under "General") to No.

If that doesn't help, try also changing "Show Search Bookmarks" to No.

Yes, I changed both to "no". Everything was going well, and then it crashed and closed. I had to restart.

I'm sorry this crash is still occurring, and for the inconvenience you're experiencing.

Unfortunately, turning the Bookmarks settings to "No" is the only workaround I know of in 6.0b.

The crash is fixed in 6.1, so it will be resolved when that version goes "stable" and ships to all users; unfortunately, that's at least several weeks away. I'm wary of recommending updating to the beta (due to the risks: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/52967.aspx) but the current beta is fairly stable and contains primarily bug fixes (https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_6.1_Beta_3).

If this crash is interrupting you frequently, it may be worth updating to the beta to get the fix. (And if you have a second computer that can keep running the stable version in case of emergency, that would be ideal.)
