Tags for hidden resources?

I am not sure whether this is a good idea, others may comment. While checking my hidden resources, I found that I have hidden both of my two books of the same content and same author, different editions (Greek grammar beyond the basics by Wallace). I can't remember the reason, although I suspect George Somsel. Then it came into my mind that a tag beside the hidden resource would be a handy reminder.

I don't normally unhide anything, unless I find out the references point to an older resource version I have hidden. Today I found that links to NIV in the Exegetical Summary of Joel do not work while the links to other versions like GNB, NRSV etc. do work. I have NIV2011 but I saw that my NIV1984 is hidden. I unhid the NIV1984 but it did not resurrect, it just disappeared from the hidden list and is not visible in my library either. Is it so that if something was hidden in L5 then I cannot unhide it in L6? I dare not do another try for now.

I would like to see more complete management of hidden resources to be able to find stuff in that jumble and unhide it if it was hidden by mistake: sorting, filtering by author and other fields, etc. I know that hiding and unhiding a resource preserves whatever tags you have assigned to it, which is good. I usually do assign tags to a resource before hiding it, just in case. But because you can't currently search for or filter on tags in hidden resources, it's pretty useless. But I've been doing it all along on the hope that one day we will be able to.

It has its faults, but I wouldn't ban it. Mainly he does 2 things: (1) Overcategorizes (2) Tends to rely on how you would translate a passage to determine the category it fits into.

You have to restart Logos and give it time to download and index. Did you do that? If so, did you try "update now" or "update resources"? L5 vs. L6 shouldn't matter.

Thanks George and MJ. for the advice! I restarted earlier and it did not update anything. Now I tried to unhide one of the grammars bay Wallace but with the same result. If the problem is in the Logos server, then I just have to wait ...

Try to get the right Wallace. I think the Logos version is better than the Galaxy since I don't care for the lines separating the pages (I prefer the inline page numbers from Logos when I enable "Show Page Numbers."

I ordered the free book of month, and then it also downloaded the unhidden resources. I tried the update earlier today, and it did not update the unhiddens only.

Now the NIV references do work (to NIV84) [:)] Did not work to NIV2011 [:@]

Some users may prefer the exact reference, but I would like to have an option to the newest version [H] (particularly this is a problem with BDAG and BAGD, when I don't have the BAGD) [:(]
