BUG: Can't rename new Favorites folder in Mac

I'm using Logos 6 on a Mac with Yosemite.
When I add a new folder in Favorites, I want to rename the folder to reflect the contents. Sometimes I can do this and sometimes I can't. I have tried a right-click on "New Folder" to select Rename but I can't type a new name. The name "New Folder" just disappears from the screen and when I click elsewhere, the name is still "New Folder." If I double-click on "new Folder", the same thing happens and I'm unable to change the name.
I have been able to rename folders occasionally but it's always after a fresh re-opening of Logos.
Thanks for any help.
Kathy

This problem hasn't been fixed, making it very difficult to use Favorites for any new projects. I've emailed tech service and gotten no replies. I don't have time this week to sit on the phone with tech support so are there any other suggestions? I'd really like to be able to use Favorites. Thanks for any help!

Hi Kathy
Using both 6.1b6 and 6.0b SR-3 I can rename Favourites folders by either double clicking on the name or by holding down the 'Alt' key and single clicking.

I think this might be a regression.

Mike, thank you. Unfortunately, that technique didn't work for me. I have 6.0b SR-3, too, so I'm not sure why it didn't work.

“Curiouser and curiouser!” Cried Mike (he was so much surprised, that for the moment he quite forgot how to speak good English).”
Lets 'see' what the developers have to say.

Don't you remember this problem in L4/L5? I know that it was fixed and I can not reproduce the issue currently. [:s]

OK, this morning I tried the double-click option (actually, it was a triple-click with the first click, I assume, just telling my Mac where to put its attention) and I was able to rename folders. So I wanted to report that this is working now. Thanks for your kind input.

If you have difficulties with it in the future, please let us know. There was a long standing bug on mac, difficult to reproduce, which caused similar symptoms, but was fixed. If there is a relapse, it would be good to know.

I'm encountering this problem too, using "Logos Bible Software 6.11 SR-1 6.11.0.0034"
Right-click and selecting "rename" causes the existing name to disappear, but typing leaves the name blank. After pressing <return>, the "New Folder" name is retained unchanged.
So far, I haven't been able to get it to work trying double or triple-clicking either.

I saw that an update had downloaded and was pending installation by restarting. So I did that, upgrading to "Logos Bible Software 6.11 SR-2 6.11.0.0041"
After that, I was able to rename by right-clicking and selecting the appropriate menu entry. Not sure if it was fixed by restarting or by the upgrade--but it seems to be working for the moment.

I have this issue in Logos 7.1. Any thoughts?

Does restarting computer allow folders in Favorites to be renamed ?
If not, humanly would like to look at Logos.log file after an attempt to rename fails. Faithlife support provides "Logos Logging Utility" for Mac => https://www.logos.com/support/mac/report-problem
Curious about Logos 7 version ? and operating system version ?
Current stable Logos 7 release is 7.10.0.0019
Apologies since unable to replicate rename not working using 7.11 Beta 4 (7.11.0.0018)
Keep Smiling [:)]

I've encountered this problem again on macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 using Logos 7.12.0.027
After restarting, the problem fixed itself and I was able to rename favorites folders again.
Sorry I didn't think to try and run the logging utility while the problem was in-progress. I'll try to remember to try and capture a log next time.
