I would like to see Favorites, Highlighting and Collections to appear as drop down menus. Please?
Where would you like them to appear as drop downs? Off the top of my head, I don't recall any use where collections are not drop-downs so I'm a little confused.
It may be I who is confused. But I would like them to appear to the right of the command line and be a true drop down menu. I am not aware of any drop down menus.
Library, Tools, Documents and guides are in a drop down format. To the right of the command line, we can add shortcuts, but not drop downs. So I can have a short cut for these three items which would create a window to the left of my screen. I would like not to have that window created. I would prefer to have them continue to appear just like the Library, tools, documents, guides appear...OR like you can find in a web browser where where there are drop down menus.
If it is possible to create such now in L6, please let me know how to do it. It would be much appreciated.
My initial reaction assuming I understand what you are saying:
It may be a good suggestion and I'm simply missing something
Hi MJ
I have on the left side of my workflow, a column for favorites, collections and highlighting. I wish to reclaim that space by having these 3 things at the top of the page to the right or left of the command bar...so when I click on it at the top, instead of opening a window in my work space, it would open a drop down menu instead.
I may not be explaining that well, but to my knowledge, it cannot be done.
In a browser like Firefox, there is a menu at the top left...file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, tools etc. and when I click on one of these, a menu drops down. That is what I am suggesting. If this can already be done somehow with collections, please let me know how to do it. Currently, when I click on collections at top, it opens a new window in my work environment.
Okay, I understand what you mean. Put a request on uservoice and see what support you get for the idea.
This sounds like a great idea, especially for highlighting. I've set up some highlighting shortcuts which slightly gets around the problem, but if I wish to highlight in some unusual color or with an unusual style, I have to have the wretched highlight panel taking up space.
