L8 seems more "snappy" but I notice my fans are running more (indexing is long done) I am wondering how L8 compares to L7 in horsepower needed?

That's pretty much what I have and Logos has worked very well on it. Not everyone can afford a computer with these specs, but if you can, it is the way to go if you are going to use Logos heavily.
I think Faithlife meant 16GB, not 6GB of RAM?
