This issue has been around for a while.
- In the library edit a tag.
- Move to another resource or tag or filed ... and the library updates in the background.
The bug relates to the Library display being updated whilst you are typing a tag ... truncating the incomplete tag on the spot. The desired function should be that If the caret is typing then the refresh of the library display should be delayed until the current editing is complete.
This has now been aggravated by L8 in two ways:
- The increased speed means that it is very likely that your next tag will be truncated. Under L7 the slow speed meant that you could enter a tag, and then another, and another, each restarting the refresh cycle so that it rarely truncated.
- Upon a refresh, the 'current resource position' is lost. That is to say that when the library refreshes it does not remember the currently selected resource, instead there is no 'current' resource, and the info panel is blank. This becomes an issue if working down a list of resources ... how far down have you got?
