Anyone venture a guess when the next update to L4 (import notes, etc) will be?
According to the entrails of the chicken I just bought at the local supermarket, we should see 4.0b RC before the end of this month.
4.0b, which has import notes and a lot of other new features, is well along in the beta test cycle. I would venture to guess they are getting close to Release Candidate stage. So perhaps another two weeks or so until it ships? It's hard to know for sure. I've been guessing it was a couple of weeks out for a couple of weeks now.

I would not count on that one. Unless I have missed something I have not seen anything in the Betas related to PBB's. I'm doing a Syntax search on the entrails now to confirm.
I tried reading the entrails, but all I could discern was that the bird was dead. After all, live chickens do not take kindly to having their entrails read. [8-|]
The beta has just gone to RC1 so 4.0b is very close.
Looks like just a couple of things to finish up:

The versemap that was used for parsing may not be shown.Pasting text into a note loses all paragraph formatting.
These statements have been around in just about every 4.0b Beta release notes. My feeling is that they will not be fixed in 4.0b; this is a disclaimer letting us know that they understand the issue (and probably have incomplete fixes still being worked on by developers). Why use the RC-1 label if you can't potentially proclaim it Golden and give it to the general population? I would expect/hope these will be fixed in 4.0c.

I hope the notes issue gets fixed before the actual release, I have lots of notes to paste (insert picture of man pleading on his knees here).

I don't think we are as close as some would lead us to believe. With the RC released yesterday (03082010) there are 4 RC related crash reports posted as of the time I write this.
