I have a working Notebook (current notebook name is 2018) within the Notes tool. I add a new note each day based on selected text. In L7, I was able to select the default Icon (style and color) as well as the Highlight style (bold text), and each new entry displayed the same icon and text formatting without having to go through the steps for each entry. I can't figure out how to do this in L8. At this time, I am relegated to making those choices for each new entry. I'm hoping I am just overlooking the obvious?
