PROBLEMS WITH LOGOS 8

The tabs are more larger, now i can't see all my tabs( i must scroll.), in the right pannel with explorer, info, copy, etc.. its the same problem.

The left pannel is larger and the space before the chapters seems to be larger an the police bigger (why not if we have the choice). so we need bigger space for the table of contents. and the space for the ressource come smaller.

In the new left pannel in the ressource for notes i have 2325 notes and the icons come 2x 1x for the new system and 1x for the older system of notes. and in the new pannel for notes i have 4540 notes ? why it differ and what is right ?

About the 7 notes and the 8 notes :

with the logos 7 version of notes i can sort by references and titles.

Now, in the logos 8 , the titles are included in the text of the notes, so they have lost the ability to sort them alphabetically, and the possibility to sort by références is also lost.

with the large amount of notes that I have introduced into Logos, for me the situation is catastrophic.
I never used the note system in the Logos 7 version so intensively (i have 45 docs of notes and ?4500 notes), if I had imagined that the use of the title field would be removed.
Currently I can not continue my work with Logos.
Indeed for example I tried to add an anchor in a note in mode Logos 7 and this does not appear in mode Logos 8 .. so I find myself in a situation without solution. In version 7 Logos if I modify notes I do not know if it can still be used later in the version of notes of Logo 8...

Several other people feel the same way. Faithlife have not yet said whether they're going to make changes. Some people have slightly reduced their Program Scaling and increased the Text Size to compensate.

FL are looking at the level of indentation in the left panel, but you can resize the left panel if you wish.

The Notes tool shows your notes for EVERY resource. The notes panel shows the notes for the current resource only. From your screenshot it's not possible to tell whether the notes have been duplicated or not. Perhaps you could try creating a new screenshot?

Sorting by reference is coming back soon. But there are no plans to bring titles back, sorry.

Because I never used titles, I can't offer advice for this situation. Maybe another user could help with a suggestion?

Notes taken in Logos 7 should sync across to Logos 8 (but not the other way around).

It is possible to revert to the old way of doing notes: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018336332-Switching-Between-New-and-Old-Notes-Systems

If you do this, you won't be able to access any notes created in the new system until you switch back. (But don't keep switching between the two.)

Most of the issues you mention are recognised and are being looked at / considered. It's worth looking at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019175372-Changes-from-Logos-7-to-Logos-8 and seeing what is being reviewed. But I appreciate this doesn't help you now.

In the first case - with 2325 notes - you are looking at the notes and highlights for a particular resource. In the second case - 4540 notes - you are looking at all the notes and highlights you have in total.

I'm not seeing duplicate note icons . have you used the command "set prefer notes tool..." and, if so, what have you set it to? It would be worth starting a new thread for this specific issue.

As outlined at https://www.logos.com/faq/notes, support for notes titles has been dropped, sorting by reference is being worked on.

Currently I can not continue my work with Logos.

In the short term you might want to revert back to using the Logos 7 style of notes - using the command "set prefer notes tool to no" - while waiting to see what response you get from Faithlife / what changes are introduced.

This should work - notes are automatically syncronised from "Logos 7 mode" into the new Notes Tool - but not the other way.
