Bug - Link-sets do not survive restart.

This is part of the Layout for my Daily Reading Plan.

Most (some) days I work through the four readings set and the commentary articles on the Old Testament readings. Once I have finished I click on my shortcut for 'Update Active Layout' and start other work.

The layout seems to remain 'updated' while Logos is running.

However in order to update the Prayer List I have to Quit and Start Logos each morning.

When I finish my slated prayers and move on to the Reading Plan on opening the layout I find that my link-set has been removed and needs to be reset each day.

Mike, I'm not sure I follow all of your steps. Is this a saved/named layout, or a "Home page layout" for "Bible Reading Plan"?

A further fiddle with this leads me to believe that the setting may be lost as a result of returning to the home page by use of the 'close all' button on the tool bar.

    Mike,

I'm not able to reproduce this, even after restarting the application the changes made when I customized the layout are retained. Can you provide a screencast of what you are doing? Just in case we are missing any steps.

    Thanks,

    Philana

I have seen this same problem quite a lot, when updating the "Lectionary" layout. I am mentioning it here as it seems related.

To reproduce what I see, do the following:

    1. Open the Lectionary layout from the homepage using a Lectionary card.

    2. Place the Missal and Lectionary in link set B.

    3. Replace the default Lectionary layout with the current layout.

    4. Close all.

    5. Open the Lectionary layout from the homepage again using the Lectionary card.

The layout will open, and while the Lectionary and Missal will be in Linkset B, the 5 default Bibles will no longer be in Linkset A... except for the very first one!

When I try and attach the .mov file using the paperclip this is the reaction...

So here is a Dropbox link that you might be able to use.

The screen resolution improves when the video is downloaded.

    Mike,

The issue is in this case the Home Page layout isn't actually the "active layout", they are not saved the same way. To save your change you need to go the layouts menu and select "Replace with current layout".

    Thanks for the explanation Philana,

I will give that a go.

I predict that in due course this will rear its ugly head again. It does seem a little counter cultural.
