Christianity Today Index?
1000 issues of Christianity Today is quite a robust resource and searching a CT Collection has some utility. But, I was wondering if there was a way to browse an index of Authors, Titles and Subjects. Any thoughts on how to build this?

What about creating CT as a collection and limiting your searches to that?

Thanks Carmen, that was my first action and it works for searches. I am looking for the capability to browse, to see a list of all the authors, a list of all the titles and a list of all the subjects.
Searching means I know what I am looking for. Browsing is just that, like walking through a bookstore.

Using your CT collection you can search for an author by typing author:<name>, for example author:stott would return all articles written by John Stott, Use heading:<text> to find an article title with the desired text. An example would be heading:advent.
I am not aware of any way to search for a topic.
Not quite an index but at least you can find articles based on some criteria.

This is where we need to be able to create a Concordance on a series or collection!! That was on the table a long time ago. Don't know what happened to the idea.

....and having a less than useful concordance unless they're doing an analysis of their library!
IIRC it was Eli Evans who actually mentioned that where the Concordance would really shine is in Commentary Series or Author Collections (e.g. a Calvin or Spurgeon collection).

Hi John:
I catch your drift, is helpful to browse the index.
So I see 2 possible options:
1 use the web page for finding topics, authors, etc. and then try to find the issue in Logos.
2 when you get some time, look at the index in the volumes themselves.
Now if someone with digital skills had time to spare, maybe copy paste index entries in a spreadsheet, make a master index, then pass to Word and share with us to build a Personal Book of the master index.

Browsing the net for some info I came across the following:

Seems to have a decent index of topics, and the articles themselves give an overview with notes.
By looking at the list, maybe some ideas can be sparked so the CT collection can be searched for the particular topic.
Conversely, again someone with digital skills could try to select some of the more interesting terms, and do a sub list, then match them to the corresponding Logos reading lists if applies, and we would have a quasi master index for initial research, reflection and further investigation ideas.
