Best way to create long notes?

Greetings,

Very new to Logos; using the Reformed Starter/Basic. Love it so far! Amazed by what it can do. One of the things I would like to do is to keep track of as much as I can in Logos, which would mean moving things from my One Note app. For example, I have lots of Bible study notes that I would like to move. Also lots of blog posts and web articles that I have saved in different categories. Finally, often when I read a book, I like to create a document to capture key notes from each chapter. It looks like I can use the "Notes" feature to do this in Logos, but I wanted to see if there was an option that would be better for lengthier notes. Not sure about how to capture web articles. Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, Tom.

Looks like you are in for a long project if you want to transfer all your notes immediately. You might want to hold off awhile to see how note-taking in Logos works for you. (Voice of Experience)

You will find that you can copy and paste into Notes. Tables used to paste as tables, but this feature is not yet implemented in Logos 8.

As you probably know, you can attach a note to a reference or to the text in a specific resource.

As an alternative to Notes, especially for longer texts and things grabbed from the web, you can use Personal Books. The most easy thing is to simply copy stuff over into a MS Word (or your preferred alternative that writes *.docx files) and use Tools / Personal Books to have Logos create a book for you.

There's much more to it, such as building your own study bible notes, bible commentary, lectionary, dictionary, even your own bible if you wish to do so. See http://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books for how to do that.
