Feature request: add a note to a resource

Shalom!

I have no idea about what many of the books in my library are, who the person behind it is or how good the book is.

When I do some research on the resource, it would be nice to have a little text window on the information pane, perhaps next to the "Add tag" text box, in the library tool. There one could jot down some brief notes about it. Then, on a later occsion when I have forgotten all that I learned about that book I can simply look at my note in the information pane

You can already create a notebook specific to that book and store all your individual notes on that book within the notebook. You can't see this info in the information pane... but then it's still easily accessible in the Notes tool.

Sure, but that ignores what's being asked for.

I have 30 different lexicons. One I learn is heavy on technical details. One was written 95 years ago and some of the references are dated. One is a theological lexicon, and has some slanted views on a few subjects. Just a sentence or two each. I can even put those sentences in a notebook regarding each individual lexicon. I suppose I can put a note on the title page of each book to have an easy place to check. Or I just have a note where I've written all this out in one note like a regular document.

Now, a month later, I'm doing a word study and I have a list of lexicons to check through - how do I refresh my memory of each lexicon without having to manually page through my previous notes? But...in the information page is there was a spot to jot notes like that along with the options for 'recommend' ' citation' 'copyright' 'series' 'collections' 'indexes' 'search fields' 'support info'...that would be easier.

Or is there a way to implement the notes to do this that I haven't figured out yet?

You got me Vincavec! Using notes and notebooks is possible, but a lot more tedious. Having it right there in the library's information pane and also in the books's own information page is on a whole different level of accessibility if you ask me

You can use tags on resources and sort your library by those tags if you wish. It should not be as long as a note, but you can develop a system that may work for you. This works for theology resources, date, denomination, etc.

I do not use tags this way, but may work for you.

Similar to what John is saying, as a workaround, you can type some of the text you are wanting into the Add Tag area. I don't know what the limitations are, but if you kept your notes short, you could use this space along with your tags to make an annotation.

I have suggested in the past (but it has been a while and the suggestion is long lost...it may have even been posted to UserVoice) that just such a box be added for the purpose of printing out 'annotated bibliographies' from within the Library. In other words, the user could annotate each resource as needed (which would solve your problem), then have a particular Print/Export view where the bibliographic entry along with the annotation could be printed or exported to a Word doc.
