Bible word study

I opened the bible word study guide and although I try to enter something new, it still comes back with the last word I studied (fox). I erase that word and type in the new word and still fox reappears and it begins looking it up again. How do I get it to stop doing that and look up the new word or phrase. I've had this problem in other windows before. I hope this is specific enough.

I tried to reproduce this using what I think is the most obvious way to use the BWS Guide, and couldn't see the behavior you're talking about. Could you explain in more detail if your steps differ from mine? Here's what I did:

From the Guides menu, selected Bible Word Study.
(Yes, the last word I'd done a BWS on was proposed, but that text was selected in the box at the top of the BWS, ready for me to type something new over it.)
I typed another word to look up (one that I knew for sure would be found) and pressed Enter immediately.
The BWS Guide started working on my new word.

If that is not what you're doing and seeing, please explain why/how, and we'll try to get to the bottom of this.

This time it worked. Before I was looking for an obscure ("four sore judgements") phrase and it kept popping back to 'fox'. Maybe it's because of the phrase itself. This time I did as you suggested and put in 'jesus' and it worked immediately.

The Bible Word Study was designed for individual words--not phrases. When I attempted to put a phrase in, I noticed the same behavior you're talking about. If you're searching for where this phrase occurs, use the regular search box. If you do want to do a word study on these words, you need to enter them individually.
