The fact that "untitled documents" is being used on the ipad is strange
If you go to Tools -> Settings on the iPad what do you have for "document for highlights"?
Highlights not syncing from Mobile App to PC
I have a resource, Schreiner, New Testament Theology: Magnifying God in Christ in which I have applied highlights on the mobile app but they are not appearing in the PC version,
My current version info:
PC: Logos Bible Software 7.0 SR-1 7.0.0.0074
Windows 10 Professional 64 bit on a Toshiba Portege Z35
Android Mobile App 5.4.6 on Android 6.0.1 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2
I reviewed forum comments on similar issues and based on those dialogues did the following:
- closed app with home button to force sync. No sync to pc
- restarted tablet and then relaunched app. No sync to pc
- opened documents.logos.com and verified highlights are syncing to cloud. Highlights are found in a file titled "untitled document" this is the default since I have done nothing to direct highlights to any particular file.
- made a highlight in the mobile app and verified that it synced to "untitled document" a few minutes later.
- opened the logos 7 PC version of the resource. Made a highlight to selected text. Then looked at documents.logos.com and see the sync in a document titled "Mark Notes" this highlight synced to the mobile App a few minutes later. Deleted the highlight from the mobile app and the deletion synced back to the PC version.
- made a highlight on the mobile app version of the resource and directed it to the file "mark notes" the highlight showed up on documents.logos.com in "Mark Notes" but did not sync to the PC.
So to conclude it appears if the the highlight is first done on the PC it syncs to the mobile app and can be deleted on mobile and sync back to PC. If the highlight is created on the mobile app it syncs to the cloud but not to my PC
Any ideas on how to resolve would be appreciated. I am an IT professional so am comfortable doing any further testing that would help you resolve.
Thank you,
George Hull

Graham,
I am on an Android Tablet and App. So the options are somewhat different than iOS. I went to "Settings - Application Manager - Bible" and looked at the available options. I do not see a way to set a "document" default. I also do not see that option within the menu of the Android App itself.
I just opened the iOS App on my iPhone and loaded the resource by Schreiner and my highlights did sync over to the iOS Mobile app but still not to my pc version of Logos 7.
Thanks,
George
So should I create a new thread in the Logos 7 forum or is there another way I should seek to solve this.
The Android App syncs highlights to logos.documents.com and from there it syncs highlights to my iOS App on my phone, but does not sync highlights to my PC.
A highlight made on the PC syncs to documents.logos.com and from there syncs highlights to my Android App and also syncs highlights to my iOS App.
The resource I am using in all cases is Thomas Schreiner, New Testament Theology, Magnifying God in Christ, Chapter 19.
Thank you,
George
Kevin,
I used the resource Dietrich Bonhoeffer Works, vol. 4, Discipleship. I made two highlights in Chapter 1 that were not previously present. On the Samsung tablet I used yellow. On the PC Logos 7 I used Blue. Results were similar to before: First picture is my PC running Logos 7. 1st line should be highlighted yellow from Samsung Tablet (Android App) input but is not highlighted after forcing syncs. Second sentence highlighted in blue is a highlight input on the PC running Logos 7. In the second picture below of my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet you can see that the blue highlight sync'd across to the tablet and was received. Both highlights synced to the DBW, v4 resource on my iPhone on the iOS App.
Android App on Samsung Yellow Highlight sync'd to cloud but not to PC Logos 7
iOS App on iPhone 6 yellow highlight sync'd to cloud but not to PC Logos 7
Android App on Samsung Yellow Highlight sync'd to cloud and sync'd to iOS App
iOS App on iPhone 6 Yellow Highlight sync'd to cloud and sync'd Android Samsung Tablet
Logos 7 on PC Blue highlight sync'd to cloud and sync'd to iOS App and Android App.
So the basic problem remains documents.logos.com syncing to Logos 7 on PC if the original input for the highlight is from a mobile App
Thanks,
George
Can I ask how you check notes and highlight options on a resource, , as I am having the same problem?
The answer varies depending on whether you are talking about the mobile apps or the desktop one.
As per Kevin's suggestion above I suggest you start a new thread outlining in detail the problems you are seeing and we'll try to help
Hello George, did you ever get an answer to this issue?
I am having the same problem where highlights made in my Android Logos Bible app are not syncing to my desktop Logos Bible Software. They show up in my documents.logos.com file and the desktop Logos Bible Software states "Synchronization is enabled, and all items are up to date," but this is not true with respect to my highlights.
Thank you for any assistance with this.
David
Hi, is there an answer from LOGOS to this issue yet? I am having the same problem syncing notes and highlights between my iOS and either my Windows Desktop or my Mac. This is quite disappointing as I only discovered this when I made a set of important notes on my iPhone and found a few days later that they were not appearing on my Mac. I checked a Windows version I have and again the same problem. I have done the usual logouts and resets, but to no avail.
Hi Wes - and Welcome to the forums
There are various reasons for these sorts of issues and the software has changed a lot since this post.
I suggest you start a new thread in the mobile app forum - https://community.logos.com/forums/150.aspx - and we will try to help work out what is going on.
