So you get benefits if you are a faithlife connect member. On essentials and above you used to get 1 "faithlifeoriginal" and 1 "faithlifeclassic" book per month.
Now you get
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.
And they make the change to chat I had already paid for without even telling me what they were doing, OK I knew because I read the forum but it is really poor not to email me.
I understand that there have been issues recently with emails, but they said they were looking into is and basic communications should be sorted, especially when they see no problem in unilaterally changing a contract without agreement.
As of March 1st, we are adding in new libraries (resources and books) all included in your subscription without you having to redeem anything.
I only received 3 titles on March 1 beyond what I purchased. Does that mean I already had licenses for all the new libraries? Are new resources part of the March 4 release of 8.3 that is much anticipated?
Making Disciples! Logos Ecosystem = LogosMax on Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (Win11), Android app on tablet, FSB on iPhone & iPad mini, Proclaim (Proclaim Remote on Fire Tablet).
I had 27 temporary resources download this month (most came today). [Y] Thanks, FL!
would you care to share their titles (a screen shot, may be), so that we can determine whether we already purchased them and thus, no new extra downloads since 1 March?
Here you go!
Thanks for sharing, Andrew. Can confirm I don't have (at least) the first four books in that list.
@FaithLife - Would it be possible for you guys to provide an official list, please?

So I have Faithlife Connect: Essentials (No Library), which was converted from my Logos Now subscription. I did receive the email stating that I was going to get the temporary library downloaded on March 1st. I did not get anything additional downloaded, except normal monthly trial books. I don't think that I have anything from this list.

I have Faithlife Connect: Essentials (No Library) as well. And connect is the only reason that I can think of why FL would give me these temporary resources. I would think that yours will be coming! But, an official list from FL would be nice.

Actually, I take that back. I think I accidentally have two subscriptions going right now. [:S] Faithlife Connect: Essentials (No Library) and a trial of the full Library. That might be why those came into my Library. Sorry about that! [:$]

Oh no, I actually thought something had changed & it allows me to get 2 books for free & a third one for $1.82.
All of this is so confusing! I bought Logos 8 with the full data set when it came out. BUT I was considering to becoming a Connect Essentials subscriber. First I was told the licenses for the 3 books and the Bible Study Magazine and the 2 Courses were all temporary...but then I am told that no, they are permanent licenses.....so which is it?
And basically why is it a good thing to become a subscriber? Can someone convince of this? What exactly would I get??????
The licenses for the three free books you can choose each month are permanent. You will always own those resources.
Bible Study Magazine is a benefit of the subscription, and access would end when your subscription ends.
The two free courses per year are also a benefit. You get temporary access to them for six months.

If you already own the full feature set, you'd be paying to rent features as well as own them.
Unless all the other benefits justify the subscription price, it might not be worth it for you to subscribe.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
But is the selection for these "three free books" any good?
You can choose from 1000s of public domain titles that Logos has produced over the years. So it depends on whether you find value in older books. In another recent thread they are discussing how great it is that The Jewish Encyclopedia is available as part of this and if you want that you'll save $54 right away. https://community.logos.com/forums/t/180677.aspx

Honestly, that was what got my attention. I already had that resource, but I thought if this was "typical," the subscription might be something that I should consider.

There are 5.7 thousand Classic books to choose from. You can use the filters to find books you might be interested in.

I find it more helpful to only list the ones I don't have.

This now works on ebooks.faithlife.com, too: e.g.:https://ebooks.faithlife.com/search?context=product&sortBy=PriceHigh&limit=60&page=1&filters=Faithlife%20Ebooks%20Classics%3Aresourcetype-faithlifeebooksclassics_Resource%20Type&ownership=unowned
