i've installed my logos library on a new machine, following all the usual steps. with no problem.

except... in installing the ugaritic library and the semitic inscriptions library

1) autorun doesnt work.

2) so i install (i thought) via the 'tools> library management> location manager' method.

3) when i go to search for the materials in those modules the only thing that shows up is the first page. afterwards, there's absolutely nothing.

needless to say it's excessively annoying.

any suggestions?

one more thing. after having looked through several of my resources it seems that many of them are blank. what's going on?

Are the Ugaritic library and Semitic inscriptions new purchases or resources you've had for a while? Based on your question I'm assuming that you've already unlocked them before.

Have you syncronized your licenses?

What version of Libronix are you running, is it the latest, 3.0g? If not run the update from here: http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls

After that I would run this script: http://www.logos.com/media/update/LogosAddinsAutoUpdate.lbxupd and this one http://www.logos.com/media/update/DataFilesAutoUpdate.lbxupd

Hope one of these steps can fix it for you, if not report back and someone might have more specific knowledge relating to these resources.

i spent the night tossing and turning trying to figure out what the problem is. i've now tried to search resources with the cd in the drive and that works successfully. so i have all my resources available but- and here's where it continues to be weird, i try to import them to the hard drive via the library management tool and it says that they are already imported.

if that's the case, why can't i use them or even find them listed in my library unless i have the disk in the drive?

ok i called the helpful folk at tech support (thanks!!!) and they had a fix.

here's what i had to do- i had to go to the taskbar and cancel the libronix process and then open the libronix program, load the cd, and let it discover the resources. those which were missing were re added and all is now well.

I'm interested to know whether the Ugaritic resources are compatible with Logos 4.

Are you still using L3 just because at the moment you are not interested in learning the new L4 format, or because L4 does not yet have some of the features you regularly use?

i use L 3 because it's the one i have. i dont know if the ugaritic module works with l4 or not but i imagine it does
