Pre-Pub Downloads not happening in Logos 4.0b

I've gotten emails confirming that the following orders are ready for download. But when I update Logos4 (update now, update resources), they do not show up in my library.

Louis Berkhof Collection (15 Vols.)
Catholic Spirituality Collection (12 Vols.)
G. K. Chesterton Collection (11 Vols.)
G. T. Shedd Collection (13 Vols.)
Calvin 500 Collection
Tyndale Commentaries

Any thoughts on how to get my Logos4 to download these missing resources? Everything else seems to be coming in fine.

In Tools / Program Settings / General / Use Internet, is that set to "Yes"?

That said, Berkhof is causing people a lot of problems this weekend; you may be better off not trying to download it until Logos fixes their issue.

I agree! Set Automatically Download Updates to NO in Program Settings so that you will eventually get all the downloads and have one session of indexing ie. you will be notified about downloads but don't accept it until you are ready.

FWIW, none of those other collections I mentioned have downloaded over the past 30+ days (and they've been out for a long time).

Having said that, none of the resources that I mentioned will download. And some of them have been available for over a month now.

I think there's something wrong with the pre-Pub's and auto download in Logos4.

Did you receive the V4b update recently (I assume you aren't using a Beta or Mac version)?

If you aren't getting the software updates either, then you will probably have to call Logos tech support--there are several branches/sequels to what could be happening.

The most likely scenarios are:

Logos is set to not use the internet (check in settings).
The account you've used to make the pre-pub purchases is not your main Logos account.

Thanks for the recommendations, but "Automatically Download Updates" is enabled, and I'm logged into Logos4 with the same (and only) account that I have (and that account does show all of the pre-pubs I mentioned above).

I'll plan on calling Logos Support on Monday and see if they can help me.

If you turn on logging (see "How to ask for help" in my signature), then load Logos and run the command "Update Now". Wait until it tells you if there are updates (it will probably take a long time, around 5 minutes). If it tells you there are no updates, exit Logos and upload your logs. We might be able to work out the problem from there.

Thanks for the instructions. I've uploaded that logfile.

Looking thru it, it seems to confirm what I'm seeing from the application: the downloads start, get to about the 95% point, then quit downloading and shift straight to indexing. Every time I stop and restart Logos4 (or reboot the computer), I have the exact same experience. I've let this even run over night, just in case I wasn't giving it enough time.

According to that log, Berkhof and Calvin and Tyndale are in your library (the others might be too, but I don't have them myself so don't know what to look for). Can you try typing the following commands in to your command bar and wait for the menu to appear:

LLS:TNTC62MKUS
LLS:LTTRCALVIN
LLS:PRNCINTBERKHOF

You should get a menu option to open the resource. It will be interesting to see whether you do.

The downloading issue you're getting now is a problem with the Berkhof collection that everyone is experiencing. I'd turn auto downloads off until that is fixed.

If those items definitely aren't appearing in your library, can you:

Go to Collections on the Tools menu
Create a new collection of all your resources, using the start with of "rating:>=0"
Click on the icon and choose Export to Bibliography
Upload your bibliography here so we can compare it to your log file

I did that LLS:PRNCINTBERKHOF search and didn't find anything.

Here's a library search "author:Berkhof". As you can see, I only have the one.

The other two LLS searches did work. So I'm going to have to figure out why my search in the library returned nothing but the command bar search on "LLS:" did work.

I've got all of the LLS file names from the pre-pub emails. I'll go back and search for each of those to ensure they are there.

I wouldn't expect the Berkhof ones to be there because of the download issue for Berkhof that has been described in other threads. The other ones should obviously show up in your library, though. It is possible to rebuild your library, by deleting some files in your Logos folder. You may need to turn automatic downloading off to get this to work, because it's possible the rebuilding might not work if it's confused about the Berkhof resources.
